research and representation

2023:

Research on dance, separation, and the dynamics of sensation, represented through a video work titled The Three Series of Dance.

This project comprises three distinct dance series, each exploring different themes and choreographic elements. The dancer uses her body and movement as a medium to express concepts of division, fragmentation, and unity. And the project draw conceptual inspiration from Gilles Deleuze’s The Logic of Sense, particularly the notion of the "body without organs."

Research on Deleuze’s concept of desire, represented through a video work titled Desiring Machine.

The final presentation was a music video in which I used various symbolic elements to represent the meaning of desire. Some of these symbols were related to fantastical, imagination-activated objects—such as scenes from an arcade, images of the sky, and bustling city streets. In this video, every scene was driven by an inner force, representing the introjected circulation of desire as I understood it through my research.

2024

Research on the trauma flashback experiences by CPTSD patients, represented through the series of autobiography video recording.

This project began in May 2024 and is ongoing, this long-term project investigates trauma flashback experiences in individuals with CPTSD—specifically my own. Through the systematic recording of spontaneous flashback episodes, I externalize and harness their chaotic intensity, employing the moving image as a form of therapy. This work not only facilitates a direct engagement with traumatic memories but also provides an enduring platform for their free expression.
